Tsunami Carbon Shield II Jigging Spinning Rods

Jigging for tuna has become its own technique over the past few seasons. Fast action as tough fish in respectable weight classes slam lures and strip line requires a rod that will handle loading smoothly and transfer angler power to the fish.

Using a blend of premium quality, high modulus carbon fibers laid with multiple axes along each powerful blank, these rods deliver superior hoop strength and lifting power. More force is delivered to the fish due to the shorter, 5'6" blanks. The hard vinyl gimbaled butt has a length designed for angler comfort in both jigging and fighting a strong fish. Comfort shaped EVA grips are covered in vinyl shrink material for greater durability. The light weight, precision machined aluminum reel seat featuring double locking rings assures secure reel mounting and plenty of strength.

All of the braid ready guides are double wrapped and epoxy coated for strength and long life. The guide rings are made of zirconium for light weight, strength, thermal dissipation and an extremely low coefficient of friction to protect lines throughout the toughest fight. The stainless steel guide frames including the braced-frame tip top are designed to minimize line fouling in jigging or casting applications.
