At the heart of the reel is InfinityXross gears, featuring a state-of-the-art tooth design for superior load distribution across the teeth without compromising Stella's smooth reeling. Infinity Drive uses a low-friction bushing and proprietary surface treatment to reduce friction, enabling powerful reeling even under the heaviest of loads. - XX Tough Drag: Shimano's innovative XX Tough Drag technology modifies the reel's drag construction by moving the upper drag washer to the top of the spool and significantly increasing the drag washer size. Utilized on 10000-size reels and above, XX Tough Drag offers enhanced durability, improved heat dissipation, consistent drag operation, and increased drag adjustment range.
- InfinityLoop: Offers an asymmetrical oscillation pattern where the downstroke of the spool is slow and the upstroke is fast. This drastically improves line lay on the spool, resulting in a tight and organized configuration, resulting in longer casts, smoother drag performance, and efficient line retrieval.
- InfinityXross: The Main gear width has increased by 1.5 times. Wider gear teeth now enable better distribution of heavy loads between the main and pinion gears.
- Anti-Twist Fin: A flexible polymer fin installed near the line roller to maintain line tension in slack-line situations. This reduces sagging and prevents the line from falling off the bottom of the spool or wrapping around the spool in an uneven manner.
- Infinity Drive: An advanced structure that creates exceptionally light winding. The main shaft is supported by a unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance. In addition, the main shaft has undergone proprietary surface treatment and special processing to drastically reduce rotational torque, constructing a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads.
